Welcome to the Filipino Anglican Congregation in Edmonton!

This vibrant mission congregation of the Diocese of Edmonton meets Sundays at 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon at St. Matthias Anglican Church (except on Feast Days such as Christmas, Easter, and Pentecost, when we gather with the larger congregation of St Matthias at 10:00am). We are happy to invite you to come and join with us in our worship services and experience the grace of God, of being in communion with fellow believers in Christ.

Our Holy Eucharist services are mainly in English from the Book of Alternative Services, though on the first Sunday of the month we are using our own dialect (kankana-ey/ilokano) in some parts of the service. Also on the first Sunday of the month we are practicing our culture from 'way back home' through meal fellowship or 'potluck' as a way of being in communion with each other. Most members of this congregation are Indigenous Peoples from Cordillera, the Northern part of the Philippines commonly known as IGOROTS.

Thanks for visiting our website. If you would like to be in touch, please email the Rev. Johnny Pooten, Priest-in-Mission. Hope to see you soon!
