Christ is Risen -- Alleluia! // Christ is Risen Indeed -- Alleluia!
On this Easter Sunday morning may you be gladdened in spirit and deepened in faith as we celebrate the Day of Resurrection once again!
Though apart, it is by God's Holy Spirit that we are nonetheless knit together as Christ's one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church, both locally as the people of St Matthias, and globally as the church universal!
So: this is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!
You will find a video service for Easter Sunday from St Matthias here. The readings for today are: Jeremiah 31:1-6; Colossians 3:1-4; and Matthew 28:1-10. The Psalm is Psalm 118:1-2, 14-24 from the BAS Psalter. The poem I read during the homily has been put into video form as a Work of the People Easter Benediction titled "Death Is Only The Beginning"
The Rev. Joanne Webster offers the Easter Morning Children's Talk, and our Sunday School Coordinator Tracey Ross has supplied some handy Easter resources that parents/caregivers can deploy together with the kids today: Illustrated Easter 2020.
In the Joy of Easter!
